Why European & Luxury?
Simple - these cars are different beasts. They need folks who understand the engineering philosophy behind 'em, not just someone who can plug in a scanner and call it a day.
Where It Started
Kicked things off in a smaller bay down on Main Street. Just me, a couple of lifts, and way too much coffee. Started because I was honestly tired of seeing European owners getting burned by shops that didn't really get these vehicles. You can't treat a 5-Series like a Civic - different animal entirely.
Growing Pains (The Good Kind)
Word got around faster than expected. Brought on two more techs - both with solid European backgrounds. Invested in manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment. That wasn't cheap, but you can't half-ass diagnostics on a modern Audi. Those systems talk to each other in ways that generic scanners just miss completely.
The Big Move to Granville
Moved to our current spot on Granville Street. Way more space, better equipment, and honestly? A proper espresso machine for the waiting area because nobody should suffer through gas station coffee while their car's getting sorted. Added transmission and electrical specialists to the crew. These systems get complex real quick on luxury vehicles.
Going All-In on Training
Sent the whole team for updated factory training. Technology's moving insane fast with these hybrid systems and electric components showing up everywhere. Can't stay stuck in 2010 when you're working on 2023 models. Also started offering pre-purchase inspections - seen way too many people drop serious cash on European cars with hidden issues.
Today & What's Next
Running a tight ship with eight experienced techs now. We've got the tools, the knowledge, and honestly - the obsession for getting these European machines running exactly how they should. Still learning every day though. These manufacturers keep throwing curveballs, and that's what keeps it interesting. Already planning to expand our EV service capabilities because electric Porsches and Audis are becoming the norm pretty quick.
